There are many incredible saxophonist’s that have influenced me as a musician in so many ways.
Although I may not sound exactly like the players i listen to, they have undoubtedly had an effect on my playing. Whether it be tone, phrasing, articulation, patterns, licks, ideas, etc. I like to listen to most styles of music and am constantly finding great sax solos in old and new music.
If a solo is played well with a great sound that is beautifully phrased and articulated and tells a story then it matters not what the style or genre of music.
