CLAIRE HAINES

Awesome musician and teacher – knowledgable, motivating and enthusiastic. Very patient and encouraging when it comes to the more intimidating tasks (for me this is improvisation) which results in being able make great progress! Lessons are both fun and inspirational – like being on a ferris wheel with Nelson Mandela.

Andy is fantastic teacher, his knowledge of the saxophone is amazing and his enthusiasm for teaching equally amazing. I have been having lessons for just over a year now and have learnt so much from someone who is a very talented musician who has so much patience for a beginner like me. I always look forward to my next lesson. He also has a great sense of humour which helps you to relax when playing.

DEBBIE CURTIS

I have only been learning the sax a couple of years, but have found Andy a great guide starting from scratch to now having the confidence to improvise – something I wouldn’t have dreamt I was able to do when I started out. Always friendly and supportive – he keeps inspiring you to try and do more.

ROB CHAMPION

JOHN CLIFTON

Andy Is a unique sort of guy – he is a very competent saxophonist – a teacher to many of us & lead sax in a variety of bands. He has also become a good friend & occasionally a confidant when one needs to talk.

Tuition is always fun but progressive – pushing our boundaries a little bit more – like playing in a difficult key!! Ouch!

I started playing at 58….(Andy was barely out of nappies!!) but he took the risk, he took on a slightly crazy lady who still doesn’t read music properly but loves improvising!

It’s a joy & wonderful therapy.
